Meet Dr. Taylor

A woman dressed in outdoor hiking gear standing on a rocky mountain summit with a sign that says 'Mt Fisher'. She is smiling, wearing sunglasses and a cap, with a vast landscape of valleys and mountains in the background under a clear blue sky.

Dr. Taylor Boyd is a chiropractor who believes healthcare should be collaborative, evidence-informed, and built around the person in front of her. Her approach combines hands-on care, acupuncture, rehabilitation, and movement-based treatment, with longer appointments that leave time to understand the whole picture.

A Calgary native with roots in Longview, Taylor's own path to chiropractic started somewhat unconventionally. Before becoming a chiropractor, she professionally trained and competed show jumping horses. Working with equine athletes first introduced her to chiropractic care and sparked an interest in how movement, injury, rehabilitation, and performance all fit together.

She went on to graduate Summa Cum Laude from Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa. Her clinical training included an internship within the Veterans Health Administration in Tennessee, where she worked alongside chiropractors, physical therapists, acupuncturists, and other healthcare providers in a collaborative setting.

Today, Taylor is happiest outside. Hiking, mountain biking, skiing, strength training, and the occasional return to the saddle keep her busy when she's not in the clinic. That active lifestyle shapes how she practises: the goal isn't simply to feel better on the treatment table, but to help people keep doing the things that make their lives their own.

Alpine Performance was created to bring that style of unhurried, individualized care to the Crowsnest Pass.

Move well. Stay active. Do what you love.
